John Robinson
Robinson was a key member of the Wales national side during the 1990’s in his midfield role. He made his first appearances for Wales in the year 1995 and last match in 2002. He started his football career playing for Brighton before enjoying most his career at Charlton Athletic, making over 350 appearances for the club between 1992 and 2003. He later played for Cardiff City, Gillingham and Crawley town.
Jason Koumas
Koumas made his debut for Wales in a match against the Ukraine in 2001 and was very much a part of Mark Hughes’s Euro 2004 qualifying squad. His finest match for Wales was a tie against Hungary where he scored an incredible free kick from far range. He started his career off playing for Tranmere Rovers between 1998 and 2002 before moving on to play for West Brom. He spent the 2005 – 2006 season on loan at Cardiff City FC.
Darren Purse
Purse started off his professional playing career at Leyton Orient in 1983 and spent three years with his local club before moving on to play for Oxford United. He joined Birmingham City in 1997 and his outstanding play at the club helped them reach the final of the 2001 league cup and gain promotion in to the premiership at the end of the 2001 – 2002 season. Purse moved to West Brom in 2003 and helped them gain promotion in to the premier league. He moved to Cardiff City in July 2005 and is currently captain at the club.
Daniel (Danny) Gabbidon
After starting off his playing career at West Brom, Gabbidon moved to Cardiff City in the year 2000 and went on to make over 200 appearances for the club. He established himself at the heart of the Cardiff City defence playing as a centre back. He mad his debut for the Welsh national football team in the year 2002. He spent five years at Cardiff before moving to West ham united in the summer of 2005. |
